The Palm Portraits Senior Experience
Senior Portraits That Feel Like You
Your senior year is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and your portrait experience should be just as memorable. Every step of the Palm Portraits experience is intentionally designed to create images that reflect your personality, celebrate your accomplishments, and make you feel confident from start to finish.
Complimentary Consultation
Every senior experience begins with a complimentary consultation with the senior and a parent or legal guardian. This is where we get to know you beyond the camera. We'll talk about your personality, interests, style, hobbies, outfit ideas, favorite locations, and the overall vision for your session. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that reflects who you are and ensures everyone feels excited and prepared.
Personalized Session Planning
Once your session is scheduled, we'll finalize the details that make your portraits unique. From selecting the perfect location and coordinating outfits to discussing meaningful props, sports, instruments, or college gear, every decision is made with your individual story in mind. Thoughtful planning allows us to create a gallery with incredible variety and purpose.
A Relaxed, Guided Portrait Session
You don't need modeling experience to create amazing portraits. In fact, most seniors tell me they're nervous before their session. My job is to guide you through every pose, expression, and movement so you never have to wonder what to do. The result is a fun, relaxed experience that produces natural, confident images that truly look like you.
Professional Retouching
After your session, each selected portrait is professionally retouched with care. My editing style enhances your images while preserving your natural features, ensuring you still look like yourself. The goal is timeless, polished portraits that you'll love for years to come—not images that look overly edited or artificial.
Your Private Online Gallery
Within one to two weeks, your professionally retouched portraits will be delivered through a private online gallery. You'll be able to view, download, and share your favorite images while also exploring beautiful heirloom products designed to preserve this milestone.
Heirloom Artwork That Lasts
Senior portraits deserve more than a folder on your computer. Whether you choose an album, custom wall art, folios, or fine art prints, your portraits become lasting reminders of this exciting season of life. My goal is to create artwork that you and your family will enjoy for years to come.
More Than Senior Pictures
At Palm Portraits, this experience is about more than creating beautiful images. It's about celebrating who you are today while preserving memories that will become even more meaningful in the years ahead. Every consultation, every location, every pose, and every finished portrait is thoughtfully planned with one purpose: to tell your story in a way that is authentic, timeless, and uniquely yours.
Plan Your Senior Session
Tell Your Story
One of the best parts of your senior portrait experience is making it uniquely yours. Before your consultation, think about the looks, activities, and milestones you'd love to include. This will help us create a session that truly reflects your personality.

Senior Portrait Frequently Asked Questions
1. When should I schedule my senior portraits?
The best time to schedule senior portraits is during the summer before senior year or early in the fall. Booking early ensures you have the greatest choice of dates, beautiful weather, and plenty of time before yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements, and graduation celebrations.
2. How far in advance should I book my senior session?
I recommend booking your senior portrait session at least one to three months in advance, especially during the busy spring and fall seasons. Popular sunset dates fill quickly.
3. What should I wear for my senior portraits?
Choose outfits that reflect your personality while keeping the look timeless. Solid colors, layers, textures, and clothing that fits well photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos and overly busy patterns. Every Palm Portraits client receives a style guide and personalized wardrobe consultation before their session.
4. How many outfits can I wear?
The number of outfits depends on the session you choose. Most seniors wear between one and four outfits, allowing for a variety of looks that showcase different sides of their personality.
5. Where should I take my senior pictures?
Central Florida offers incredible locations for senior portraits, including Downtown Winter Garden, Lake Louisa State Park, Rollins College, Kraft Azalea Garden, Oakland Nature Preserve, and many other beautiful locations. During your consultation, I'll help you choose the perfect location based on your style and vision.
6. What time of day is best for senior portraits?
Outdoor sessions are typically photographed during the hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and flattering. Some locations are also beautiful at sunrise. I'll recommend the best time based on your chosen location and the look you want to achieve.
7. Do you help with posing?
Absolutely! You don't need any modeling experience. I'll guide you through every pose, expression, and movement to create natural, confident portraits that feel authentic to you.
8. Can I bring my parents?
Yes! A parent or legal guardian is required to attend the consultation and portrait session. They are welcome to be as involved as you'd like while I make sure the experience is relaxed and enjoyable.
9. Can I include my pet?
Absolutely! Pets can add a fun and meaningful personal touch to your senior portraits. Let me know in advance so we can choose a location that welcomes pets and plan accordingly.
10. Can I bring sports equipment, instruments, or other props?
Yes! Incorporating meaningful items like sports uniforms, musical instruments, letter jackets, college apparel, or hobby-related props helps personalize your senior portraits and tell your unique story.
11. Should I have professional hair and makeup done?
Professional hair and makeup can enhance your portraits while still looking natural. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself, not someone different.
12. What happens if it rains?
Florida weather can change quickly. If conditions aren't ideal, we'll simply reschedule your session so we can create beautiful portraits in the best possible lighting.
13. How long does a senior portrait session last?
Sessions range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the experience you choose. Longer sessions allow for additional outfits, locations, and a greater variety of images.
14. How long does it take to receive my photos?
Your professionally retouched images are typically delivered within one to two weeks in a private online gallery.
15. Will you retouch my photos?
Yes. Every selected portrait is professionally retouched to enhance your images while keeping you looking natural and like yourself. My goal is timeless, polished portraits—not overly edited images.
16. Can I choose my favorite images?
Absolutely. You'll receive a private online gallery where you can view your portraits and select your favorites based on the collection you've chosen.
17. Do you offer albums and wall art?
Yes! In addition to digital images, I offer heirloom albums, custom wall art, fine art prints, folios, graduation announcements, and keepsakes designed to preserve this milestone for years to come.
18. Can I photograph at more than one location?
Yes! Many seniors choose sessions that include two nearby locations to create a wider variety of images and backgrounds.
19. What makes Palm Portraits different?
Every senior portrait experience is personalized from start to finish. With more than 25 years of professional photography experience, advanced degrees in photography, guided posing, wardrobe planning, and artistic retouching, my goal is to create timeless portraits that reflect your personality and celebrate this exciting milestone.
20. Why should I invest in professional senior portraits?
Senior year is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Professional portraits preserve this important chapter with beautiful artwork that can be shared with family, displayed in your home, used for graduation announcements, and treasured for years to come.
