Your Christmas portraits should feel like your family. Whether you love a classic holiday room, a playful gingerbread scene, or a cozy winter setting, there’s a look for you at Palm Portraits.
My Christmas Artisan Mini Sessions run November 14–December 5, 2026, at my Winter Garden studio, convenient to Horizon West, Windermere, Ocoee, Clermont, and the surrounding Orlando area.
This year, you have four Christmas backdrops to choose from. Three are suited to family portraits, and the fourth is a smaller setting, especially for one or two children.
Browse the photographs below each option to see the details, colors, and different portraits we can create.
Rich red curtains, green garlands, and gold accents give this setting a classic, elegant Christmas feel. Through the window, Santa and his reindeer fly through the night sky—a fun detail to discover.
This is a beautiful choice for dressed-up family portraits, traditional Christmas cards, and photographs you’ll bring out each holiday season.
Best for:Â Families, siblings, and individual portraits.
What to wear:Â Ivory, cream, emerald, navy, and touches of gold. Red also works beautifully when balanced with neutrals. Dresses, dress shirts, and coordinated separates complement this setting.
Gingerbread houses, candy-striped details, and snowy touches make this backdrop cheerful and full of personality. It’s a lovely option for families who enjoy the playful side of Christmas.
You can dress it up or keep it casual—the setting works beautifully with either approach.
Best for: Families, siblings, and individual children’s portraits.
What to wear:Â Solid greens, reds, creams, and warm neutrals. With so much detail in the backdrop, simpler clothing helps your family stand out.
Snow-covered trees, warm golden lights, and a rustic wooden entrance create the look of a winter Christmas tree farm—all inside my studio.
If you love cozy holiday portraits, this is a beautiful choice. Deep greens and blues give the setting richness, while the lights add warmth.
Best for:Â Families, siblings, and individual portraits.
What to wear:Â Forest green, navy, cream, camel, or burgundy. Sweaters, subtle plaid, and textured fabrics work especially well.
A white fireplace with black and gold accents offers a clean, elegant holiday look. This setting keeps the attention on your children while adding just enough Christmas detail.
This backdrop is smaller than the other three and is best for one or two children. It isn’t suited to full family portraits.
Choose it for individual portraits, a sweet sibling photograph, or a beautiful gift for grandparents.
Best for:Â One or two children, together or individually.
What to wear:Â Ivory, cream, champagne, soft neutrals, or touches of gold. Black can add a dressier feel, while velvet and knits bring texture.
Think about the style you love and how you’ll use your photographs:
Classic and dressed up:Â The Elegant Christmas Room
Playful and colorful:Â The Gingerbread Christmas Setting
Cozy winter atmosphere:Â Kringle Tree Farm
Simple and elegant children’s portraits: The White Fireplace
Look through the sample images to see how each backdrop photographs in wider portraits and closer moments. Your outfits can help guide your choice, too.
You don’t need everyone to match. Choose a few complementary colors, mix in different textures, and keep busy patterns to a minimum. If you’re deciding between settings or need wardrobe guidance, reach out—I’m happy to help.
